The Pop-Up Book That Lets You Dissect a Unicorn

We all know how beautiful unicorns are on the outside, but what about their insides? Do they have a magically beautiful spleen that is as pure as freshly fallen snow? Find out for yourself with these photos of Heirloom, a pop-up book by art student Alison Woodward. It’s not available for sale, but is worth checking out. I’ve pasted a few pictures below (they are all taken by Alison) but for the full project and all it’s steps (and to see her other projects), check out her blog.

Heirloom begins as a book box.

When opened, a unicorn is revealed.

You begin to dissect, layer by layer.

Until you end up with this.
