Hex Hall Short Story from Heroine Tourney

In an attempt to sway our vote Sophie’s way in the Heroine Tourney hosted by the YA Sisterhood, Rachel Hawkins dangled a short story carrot in front of our eyes. (Well, actually it was two carrots, because she promised two stories…) You won’t get a taste of Spellbound just yet, though. Ms. Hawkins has placed this short, titled “In Which Our Heroine Finds Herself in a Compromising Situation in the Cellar,” smack into the middle of Hex Hall when Archer and Sophie had the special one-on-one-while-cleaning-out-the-basement time. And Cal fans, don’t fret! A Sophie/Cal short story should be floating about soon.

If you missed Rachel Hawkin’s previous short story, it is more of a Hex Hall companion, but still a very good read.

Anywho, here’s a teaser from the Archer and Sophie cellar-fest, but you will need to visit Rachel Hawkin’s blog to read the story in its entirety.

I looked up at Archer. We were wearing wedding rings.
