‘Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day’ to Become a Movie

It’s future as a movie was uncertain, but, according to Deadline, Disney picked up the film adaptation of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. The script, written by Lisa Cholodenko and Rob Lieber, is for a live-action movie based on the children’s picture book by Judith Viorst. One of my favorite comedians/actors, Steve Carrell, is slated to star as Alexander’s dad. The film will be produced by Shawn Levy and Dan Levine for 21 Laps and Lisa Henson.

For anyone unfamiliar with the popular story, here’s the description taken from Goodreads.

Alexander knew it was going to be a terrible day when he woke up with gum in this hair. And it got worse…

His best friend deserted him. There was no dessert in his lunch bag. And, on top of all that, there were lima beans for dinner and kissing on TV!
