Giveaway and Cocktails & Characters: Ryker Matheson from ‘Moon Spun’

Marilee Brothers stops by to introduce us to the favorite drink of the sexy bad boy in Moon Spun.

First of all, let me make this perfectly clear. Allie Emerson, the protagonist in the Unbidden Magic series is a minor and drinks nothing stronger than Diet Pepsi.

However, since we’re talking about Moon Spun, may I introduce you to hot biker boy/fairy Ryker Matheson? Ryker has been sent to the mortal world to escort Allie to Boundless (aka faeryland).  My version of faeryland is not all Tinkerbelle and blue birds singing in harmony. In fact, Boundless is home to some downright scary creatures.  Ryker, out of necessity, is a pretty tough dude. He has a need for speed, probably because he can revert to hawk form when in Boundless. Hence, the motorcycle while he’s in the mortal world.

Now we come to the question, “What Would Ryker Drink?”

Answer: Rainbow Shot

¼ oz. Grenadine

¼ oz. Peppermint Schnapps

¼ oz. Jagermeister

¼ oz. Melon Liqueur (Midori)

¼ oz. Whiskey

¼ oz. Amaretto

Layer into a shot glass. This is a very hard drink for any bartender to master but Ryker has no problem at all. He just pours all the ingredients into a glass, waves his hand over the top of the glass, mumbles a few words and the layers appear as if by magic. (Actually, it is magic.)

About Moon Spun (Unbidden Magic #3)

Junior’s back from Mexico with his movie star entrourage. Beck is using his half demon charms to “heal” a new girl. Mom’s still wacky and now she’s dating Principal Hostetler!

High school is still an obstacle course of drama queens, bullies and nutjobs. The Trimarks are still a menace and the moonstone pendant has reveale even more mind boggling powers. In other words, Allie Emerson’s life as the Girl Voted Least Likely To Save The World From Evil has gone from Weird to Super Charged Super Weird, and it’s about to get even weirder.

“You’re a faery princess.” So says the mysterious and handsome Ryker, whose talents include turning himself into a hawk. Not to mention he and Allie are destined to marry. In faery land—Boundless. If they can save it from forces even more deadly than Trimarks and high school.

The third book in the Unbidden Magic series plunges readers into a rich other world of danger, humor, romance, fable, fairy tale and magical destiny.

  1. Thank you for sharing with us today. While Ryker sounds like a fun character to meet, his choice of drinks sounds vile, although is certainly colorful LOL I will enjoy the Diet Pepsi with Allie 🙂
