Review: Sweet Loren’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Dough

In my book, homemade cookies are always best–BUT I don’t always have time to whip them up from scratch. My search for a go-to pre-made dough that isn’t too greasy, is healthy, and tastes great has been going on for years. Any of the doughs that were healthy enough either didn’t taste right or were too greasy and I hate compromising health for flavor. Thank goodness I found Sweet Loren’s.

While I was on a grocery run last week, I happened to find Sweet Loren’s doughs in the organic refrigerated section. Always a sucker for the chocolate and peanut butter combo, I went with the aptly named Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Dough. I couldn’t wait to try the brand and baked the cookies that night!

There were 12 cookies in the package. You can break them off and make all of the cookies at once (which I opted to do) or you can just make a couple at a time. The dough chunks seemed very large and I was afraid they would spread into each other, but I found that they did not spread that much at all. They come out nice and thick and gooey!

And even though they feel decadent, the ingredients are fairly healthy. There are no artificial flavors or high fructose corn syrup and the flour is whole grain. While there are chocolate chunks in the dough, it is dairy free.

If you are short on time or are in the mood for just a couple of freshly baked cookie, seek out Sweet Loren’s!
