P: Portland, Maine

My day in Portland, Maine didn’t include too much Portland time, unfortunately, as I spent half the day in Kennebunkport. But we did take a drive through the city and see Old Port, a neighborhood that used to be a warehouse district, but is now a trendy area filled with restaurants, bars, boutiques, and galleries.

We also got some great views of Casco Bay from an area with a lot of Victorian homes. (I forget the name of the neighborhood.)

Then, we moved on to the Portland Head Light in Fort Williams Park. The Head Light is one of the oldest lighthouses in the country. The park has ample places for picnicing, other area of copious green grass, and fantastic trails along the coast.
