Yumoyori Wilson, the author of Dark Wish, talks about her latest novel and some upcoming work.
What was your source of inspiration for Dark Wish?
Dark Wish was based off a story that had been running through my head for an entire year. I actually wrote a fanfiction on it in December 2016 as a test run but gave up on it since I was a new writer and didn’t like editing etc. So there really wasn’t any main source of inspiration. It was just one of the many stories I would imagine when bored at work, waiting for the night shift to fly by.
Who is your favorite character in Dark Wish? Why?
Makoto Heart is my favorite. Her innocence is just a breath of fresh air and she appreciate life, even though life hasn’t been kind to her.
How did you choose the characters’ names? Do they have specific meanings?
Most of the names were random though Makoto was based off a Black Rock Shooter main character. The others have either been random or associated with their characteristic (and spirits)
Have you planned out the entire series?
The Starlight Gods Series is a LONG series and branches off into one big web . I have about the first 6 books planned. After that is kinda YOLO.
Can you tell is anything about what happens next in the series?
I can’t say much since this book ends on a cliff hanger but the series is very captivating and Makoto will be going through a lot of trials readers won’t really expect in the average series.
Are you working on any other projects?
I have a total of 30 project I’m working on- some related to SGS but half of them are cowrites with two amazing authors.
Is there any genre you haven’t written yet, but would like to?
Hmm, I would love to try Erotica one day.
Who is your favorite author?
Not really sure. Top three: CM Stunich, Suzanne Wright, Aspen Winters.
What can expect from you next?
LOTS OF LOTS of book. Let’s just say, check back on me by June 2018 and let’s hope there’s at least 15 extra books for you to get your hands on.
